On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Capaci Massacre and the Day of Legality, the Municipal Administration of Caorle and the Caorle Civic Library are organizing the show “Thought Does Not Die – Francesca Morvillo Tells the Story of Giovanni Falcone” (Text and theatrical adaptation by Michela Cembran, Music by Maestro Paolo Butti, Voice by Daniela Tassan).
The show originates from a trip to Sicily by actress Michela Cembran, the project's creator, to certain places marked by the mafia such as Corleone, Cinisi, and Partanna, locations scarred by mafia terror. It is also inspired by her meeting with Giovanni Paparcuri, the bodyguard who survived the massacre of Judge Chinnici and who worked alongside Judges Falcone and Borsellino. From these reflections, the idea arises to tell the story of Judge Falcone through the eyes and voice of the magistrate and Falcone's wife, Francesca Morvillo.
The Municipality of Caorle is part of the network of anti-mafia municipalities Avviso Pubblico and has long been committed to promoting a culture of legality, especially among the younger generations.
