On the occasion of the centenary of the opening of the famous direct ascent route to the summit of Civetta by Emil Solleder and Gustav Lettembauer, which the Municipality of Alleghe will commemorate with a celebration on September 27 and 28, a permanent photographic exhibition in memory of the ascent will be inaugurated in August on the boards of Corso Italia in Alleghe.
The Solleder Lettembauer is considered one of the first sixth-grade routes opened in the Dolomites and remains a very challenging testing ground for climbers from all over the world.
