On November 21st, the "National Tree Day" is celebrated, recognized under Article 1 of the Law No. 10 of 01/14/2013, which aims to promote policies for reducing emissions, preventing hydrogeological instability and protecting the soil, improving air quality, enhancing traditions related to trees in Italian culture, and overall livability of urban areas through the enhancement and protection of the environment and the tree heritage and forests.
Trees represent an invaluable asset for humanity and significantly contribute to combating environmental pollution, improving the healthiness of our lives and the quality of the landscape; they are a symbol of a millennia-old relationship between man and nature, characterized by respect and harmony.
Since 2017, the Municipality of Feltre, implementing certain sector regulations, plants a tree following the municipal registration of every newborn or adopted minor.
