The JMuseum, in its extraordinary exhibition spaces, celebrates Franco Fontana, one of the greatest photographers of all time on an international level, a pioneer of color photography, with a refined monograph that presents a synthesis of the most iconic works of the Master, in large format, created between 1961 and 2017.
The exhibition also includes an exclusive video interview focused on the human side of the artist. The exhibition is the result of a long and significant work of research and restoration on the artist's analog and digital works, which has created a corpus of images capable of narrating Franco Fontana’s long career. Starting from the assumption that, for Fontana, everything is or becomes landscape, the exhibition tells the story of the Emilian master’s search through a setup, curated by the Franco Fontana studio and Studio Roberto Bernè, that leads the visitor towards a progressive elevation, alternating scenes rich in humanity with almost abstract natural landscapes, plastic architectures, and extraordinary images of people in addition to the famous production on asphalt. Attention to lighting, positioning of the works, respect for spaces, and the sound diffusion of the extraordinary music by French composer Armand Amar, along with an extraordinary interview with the Master focused on his disruptive humanity, allow for an immersive and emotional experience of great art.
