The Caorle Independent Film Festival (CIFF), now in its eighth edition, is a cultural event held annually in the beautiful city of Caorle, the little Venice.
The Festival was created by the Caorle Film Cultural Association with the aim of enhancing that niche of artists who create and produce their works without the help of a major production company: independent cinema.
The 75 works selected, divided among feature films, short films, documentaries, web series, pilot episodes, and animated films, will be announced on 2nd July 2025 and will be screened in the halls of the Centro Culturale Andrea Bafile, in the historic center of Caorle, specially transformed into screening rooms.
This year’s selection consists of a range of independent films from various parts of the world that depict contemporary society, offering the audience the opportunity to reflect on important social issues and discover exciting stories from different cultures and ethnicities, spanning from comedy to drama, from fantasy to thriller, exploring a variety of genres, styles, and narratives.
The CIFF is structured to always place all participating entrants first in a festival environment with an international flavor. Even the visitors themselves, in addition to being able to attend all screenings for free, become an integral part of the festival by actively participating in ancillary activities.
