Next to the usual season of prose and dance, this year a new series titled “Other Paths” arrives, consisting of four events that stand out for their attention to social, civil, and highly relevant themes, addressed through theater, storytelling, and reflection. An opportunity to approach the issues of our time through different perspectives, stories, and languages, always keeping the value of theater as a space for discussion and participation at the center.
The series is organized and promoted by the City of Jesolo in collaboration with the Regional Multidisciplinary Circuit Arteven.
Roberto Mercadini: Human Animals.
Who is Homo sapiens? What distinguishes us from other animals? Have we really invented war and agriculture? Why do we make music or cheer for a soccer team? Investigating this strange beast, the most surprising things are the unexpected similarities between us and species such as birds, chimpanzees, lions, insects, dogs, or axolotls. A dizzying and comic overview, blending science and epic, to observe ourselves from an entirely new perspective and see ourselves like never before.
