The Belluno Culture and Press Circle organizes guided tours to the exhibition “Franco Fiabane 1937-2015” at the Fulcis Civic Museum, an opportunity to learn more about the Belluno sculptor and his artistic journey, every Saturday at 4:30 PM and Sunday at 11:00 AM until January 11.
Over 170 works, including wood and marble sculptures, bronzes, terracotta and duralba sketches, and drawings, trace the artistic life of the Belluno sculptor ten years after his passing.
A journey that began in his father Berto's workshop, where Franco Fiabane learned processing techniques and became familiar with various materials, from marble to stone, from plaster to clay, mastering wood carving and bronze casting.
An tireless draftsman, throughout his life he never ceased to study forms through an intense and joyful graphic activity, often unrelated to his sculptural production.
The exhibition, in addition to retracing Fiabane’s human and artistic story through the most significant sculptures and a selection from his rich graphic production, opens up to the territory, presenting the rich heritage of public, religious, and civic works that constitutes the most important legacy to his city and homeland.
