On Saturday, November 8, at 3:00 PM, the Pro Loco of Sospirolo organizes a Guided tour of Villa Rudio-Sammartini in Orzes-Belluno.
The event is a tribute to Tudy Sammartini, who inspired the 16th edition of the literary competition "Sospirolo between legends and mysteries." There will be themed readings by Cristina Gianni.
We will visit the villa inhabited by Tudy Sammartini, who dedicated her life to rediscovering and creating green spaces. In the book “My Land. Memories between dream and reality,” she recounts her version of the destruction of the city of Cornia learned from the gardener …“The lord of the garden was Toni Milan, a tall and thin gypsy with reddish hair and beard, an earring in his left lobe, always busy smoking a pipe or chewing tobacco. He was a great friend of mine, and I owe him a lot.” …
The villa, recently subject to major restoration work under the supervision of the Superintendency, is now open for cultural and tourism events and has already hosted initiatives from Fai and other events.
