On Friday, October 23 at 6:00 p.m., there will be an introductory conference for the concert on October 28, curated by Claudio Bolzan, titled "Franz Schubert: chamber music between lyricism and sonata forms", at the Comunale Auditorium.
After graduating in musical aesthetics from the University of Padua with top marks and honors, Claudio Bolzan dedicated himself to teaching and musical German studies, collaborating with some of the most important Italian journals in the field (including "Piano Time", "La cartellina", "Musica/Realtà", "Musica", and "Nuova Rivista Musicale Italiana", curated by Rai), where he published numerous essays, reviews, and translations on historical-musicological topics.
At the Diastema publisher, he published in 1994 a collection of letters from Gabriel Fauré and in 1995 the first Italian monograph on the German composer Norbert Burgmüller (a part of which was translated and published in Germany), followed by two volumes dedicated to the translation of the letters of Felix Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann, published by Zecchini (respectively in 2009 and 2015). With this publisher, he has also recently edited the Guide to chamber music, the Guide to concert music, and the Guide to sacred music, and has developed monographs on Jan Dismas Zelenka (2019), E.T.A. Hoffmann (2020), Georg Freiderich Händel (2022), and Franz Schubert (2024).
Free entry until seats are filled.
