The third edition of the review Traces of Foliage is dedicated to autumn senses. After colors and flavors, the palette of autumn leaves is connected to the clear sensations we can experience in nature.
The fourth appointment will be on Friday, October 24 at 5:00 PM and at 6:30 PM with experts from Dolomia, who will explain to us the research that leads to the use of plants in cosmetics.
The Dolomites, recognized by UNESCO as a Natural Heritage of Humanity, hold a unique wealth of plant and animal species. A wealth that today is fragile and threatened. They are complex ecosystems, natural habitats where endemic flowers bloom only at these altitudes, small pollinating insects keep invisible cycles alive, birds of prey dominate the skies, and large mammals survive in extreme conditions. Each species represents a piece of a perfect mosaic: if one breaks, the entire environmental balance is compromised.
Protecting alpine biodiversity means also protecting ourselves. The mountains provide us with clean air, drinking water, food, botanical species for natural extracts, landscapes that nourish body and spirit. Every flower, every insect, every animal that inhabits the Dolomites is part of an invisible network that supports our daily lives.
That is why Dolomia carries out various activities for the conservation of biodiversity: it supports a type of agriculture that respects nature, protects the habitats of pollinators, promotes scientific research and knowledge.
