Following the sold-out event registered during the first occasion, the FAI Delegation of Belluno announces a new date for the initiative “Between forges and raftmen. A walk along the Ardo between history and water memories,” expanding the offering with two visit sessions on Saturday, May 17.
The appointment, starting from Via Alzaia in Belluno, will take place at 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and will offer participants the opportunity to rediscover an important chapter of local history related to activities that have animated the city along the Ardo stream for centuries.
The guided route will lead to the discovery of symbolic places such as the Smiths' Forge, the chapel of San Francesco da Paola, and the River Port and Raftmen Museum, retracing the traces of ancient crafts related to ironworking, river transport, and water commerce.
The initiative is part of FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano's commitment to enhancing the historical and cultural heritage of the territory.
Participation is by mandatory reservation at this link.
