On Thursday, February 25 at 9:00 p.m., the musical performance "Suona Buena Vista Social Club" will take place at the Teatro Comunale Dino Buzzati.
Suona Buena Vista Social Club is one of the most successful projects of the Temporary Band, the musical collective that brings major repertoires of Italian and international music to the theater with theatrical identity and scenic care. For this occasion, the delicate and respectful tribute to Son Cubano — dedicated to the album and the atmospheres of the famous film by Wim Wenders — is entrusted to an ensemble made up of the best musicians in the industry, led by some of the most authoritative voices of Cuban music in Europe. A journey into the "Pearl of the Caribbean" that returns to the audience all the warmth, nostalgia, and vital energy of old Havana, following in the footsteps of the giants of the genre such as Compay Segundo, Ibrahim Ferrer, Omara Portuondo, and Rubén González.
On the program are the most iconic songs of the repertoire, from Chan Chan, the unmistakable opening symbol of the project, to the timeless bolero Dos Gardenias, to the energetic descargas that made locals dance in 1950s Havana, blending son, danzón, and guajira. A refined and elegant concert-event, capable of reviving the unmistakably jazz and Latin soul of Cuba Vieja and transporting the audience, at least for one evening, among the warmth and rhythm of the Caribbean. On Teatro.it, you can find all the tour dates, the theaters hosting the performance, and access to official tickets.
