Guided tour led by Prof. Massimo Cettolin at the exhibition “Sport Emotion” organized by the Municipal Administration on the occasion of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, to celebrate the history of the Winter Olympic Games, the first edition of which took place in Chamonix 102 years ago.
An opportunity to relive the great emotions that athletes of yesterday and today have made and continue to make us experience in the hope that the Olympic values of friendship, respect, and solidarity may contribute to a culture of peace.
The exhibition is the result of a historical reconstruction effort through magazines, albums, and old newspapers from the private collection of Prof. Massimo Cettolin, as well as original sports equipment on loan from the Boot and Sports Shoe Museum in Montebelluna, managed by the Sportsystem Foundation. An immersion in the history of sports over the past hundred years enriched by a photographic path curated by Fabio Cavessago with shots from the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
