The international open-air sculpture symposium returns, which over the past thirty years has transformed the cliffside of the city of Caorle into a true open-air museum. Since its inception in 1993, ScoglieraViva has grown and developed, becoming an eagerly awaited event for artists, tourists, art lovers, and enthusiasts. This seaside art gallery, unique of its kind worldwide, represents one of the most evocative places of the ancient Venetian fishing village and is an attraction for thousands of tourists from across Europe, but it is also a heritage for all citizens.
ScoglieraViva this year officially presents the catalog of works created so far. A prestigious volume that confirms the cultural importance of the event and the artistic value of the sculptures created.
Now in its 22nd edition, ScoglieraViva asserts itself as a biennial symposium and continues to enrich the promenade, which now features 138 works.
Initially figurative, the works have undergone an evolution over the years, addressing increasingly relevant themes. In addition to stylistic evolution, social and historical issues have also become central, leaving an indelible mark sculpted on the Caorle cliff.
The 2025 edition of ScoglieraViva features three new artists, including a female sculptor, Katharina Mörth, a German artist who shapes the bond between man and nature. Her work, deeply rooted in a reflection on the relationship between humanity and nature, transcends geographical boundaries, finding resonance and appreciation in symposiums and collections worldwide. The artist, through a distinctive and powerful sculptural language, invites us to confront fundamental issues of our existence and our impact on the planet.
Alongside her, Slovenian sculptor Arijel Štrukelj is presented. His mastery in shaping stone blends with a deep conceptual exploration, giving life to works that explore the human condition, spirituality, and the intrinsic bond between the individual and the universe.
The third work is created by Renato Brunello, an internationally renowned sculptor who represents a living bridge between his beloved homeland and the world. Born in Veneto, just a stone’s throw from the picturesque Caorle, Brunello has spent much of his artistic life in Brazil, where he has achieved recognition and prestige of the highest level. Despite the geographical distance and success overseas, the call of his roots has always been strong, and today it materializes with his long-anticipated return to his homeland, in Caorle, to leave his indelible mark on the cliff.
Tourists and residents will be able to observe the three artists at work from June 18 to 28, 2025. The structure of the event as an artistic symposium also provides the public with the opportunity for direct dialogue with the present artists, who can explain in their own words the emotions and sensations behind the works in progress.
On Saturday 28th June at 9:00 PM in Piazza Vescovado, there will be an evening presentation of the three new works, where the creation phases will be narrated to the public through words and images and will add to the 135 already present, sculpted in past editions.
The evening will conclude with the “candle light” concert: a concert under the stars, illuminated by candles, that will embrace and enhance the elegant beauty of Piazza Vescovado, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
The event is free.
