The Santa Bellunese Pumpkin, a gem of local agriculture, has always been the star of a festival celebrating its flavor and history: the Caorera Pumpkin Festival. This event, held annually in the lower Feltrino, has become a must-attend for lovers of good food and tradition.
The festival has grown year after year, becoming a reference point for the entire community and beyond. The Consortium for the Protection of the Santa Bellunese Pumpkin, which aims to promote this traditional agri-food product included in the Quality Charter of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, is the driving force behind this initiative.
The pumpkin, with its sweet pulp and versatility in the kitchen, is the main ingredient in numerous specialties offered during the festival. Gnocchi, crepes, lasagna, and desserts: every dish is a tribute to the culinary tradition of Belluno. But the festival is not just about food. It is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the culture and traditions of this land, to meet local producers, and to discover the beauty of the territory.
Among the many activities planned, there are exhibitions, markets, and musical shows.
The Bellunese Pumpkin Festival is much more than just a food festival: it is a moment of gathering, exchange, and enhancement of an invaluable heritage.
