On the occasion of the Works Festival (April 30 - May 10, 2026), presentation of the book "Operaicidio, when work kills"
With Bruno Giordano Magistrate, Marco Patucchi Journalist
Three deaths a day. One accident per minute. Numbers that describe a daily slaughter, often ignored or dismissed as "fatalities". Magistrate Bruno Giordano (Court of Cassation) and journalist Marco Patucchi (La Repubblica) present their new investigative book “Operaicidio”, published by Marlin.
The text investigates what the authors define as a silent civil war in the workplace: a perpetual scandal that unfolds every day in factories, construction sites, and the Italian countryside. Through the recounting of true stories and the study of civil, political, and judicial responsibilities, the event proposes concrete solutions for intervention and reform. A necessary dialogue to give a name and a face to the numbers and to break the silence on a tragedy that wounds the dignity of the entire country.
There will be a screening of the documentary Articolo 1 by director Luca Bianchini.
