On the occasion of the WORKS FESTIVAL (April 30 - May 10, 2026), "Fashion, Culture, and Education".
With Saul Marcadent Researcher at the Iuav University of Venice and curator, Marco Rambaldi Co-founder and Creative Director of Marco Rambaldi.
Fashion circulates and dialogues among actors and knowledge that revolve around the economic-productive dimension, visual culture, and communication. To discuss it appropriately, it is necessary to distance ourselves from clichés and make its value explicit. One must traverse the multitude of attitudes that coexist in the contemporary fashion system: artisanal and industrial dimension, high and low technology, high and low definition. It is also imperative to confront the issues of identity head-on: gender identity, collective and transitional community identities, and individual identities in global society.
The conversation between Marco Rambaldi, fashion designer and founder of the eponymous brand, and Saul Marcadent, researcher at the Iuav University of Venice and lecturer in visual culture, explores these themes, with special attention to the cultures and practices of fashion, between university education, research, and corporate vision. At the center is the foundation and consolidation of the Marco Rambaldi brand, active since 2017 and capable of balancing a responsible attitude with a high degree of experimentation, towards a new idea of Made in Italy.
