On Tuesday, November 17 at 8:45 p.m. there will be the show "The Last Moons", of the 50th Season of Prose at the Teatro Comunale Dino Buzzati.
An elderly professor waits in his room for the arrival of his son, who will accompany him to the nursing home where he has chosen to settle, in order to leave more space at home for his grandchildren. During this waiting period, undoubtedly filled with anxiety and melancholy, he dialogued with his wife, or rather with the memory of his wife, who died many years ago. It is a conversation rich with tenderness and memories, sweet jabs, but also heartbreaking truths: old age, the fear of death, the cold prospect of a nursing home, the mix of tenderness and disappointment towards the son who could not – or perhaps did not want to – dissuade him from his intent. The separation will unfortunately happen, and the conclusion in the hospice will be marked by a serene acceptance of the flow of time and life.
