
Organized by ABM, Accademiabm.it, and the "Dino Buzzati" Migration Library, the event "Handwriting: A Skill Not to be Lost" will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the ABM Meeting Room (via Cavour 3, Belluno).
The seminar will explore the value of handwriting as a tool for expression, memory, and relationship, with historical references, educational insights, and testimonies related to emigration.
Speakers include:
- Lucia Molin Pradel with an in-depth discussion on the history and cultural significance of handwriting;
- Dino Bridda who will talk about the role of letters in keeping ties to one's origins;
- Renza Moroso: with the story Letters from Kosseir (Egypt), an example of educational integration in the past;
- Monica Vecellio: who will present her ten-year experience teaching calligraphy in schools in Belluno.
The meeting will be opened by Patrizia Burigo.
