Eight years after the referendum of June 2, 1946, the city is preparing to remember one of the most decisive moments in Italian history with an exhibition titled “The Republic Turns Eighty,” which will be on display until June 30 at the church of San Paoletto in Vittorio Veneto.
The exhibition, created with materials from the Archive and the Research Service of the Chamber of Deputies, offers a journey through documents, photographs, and newspaper front pages of the time, reflecting the political and social climate of the days of the referendum and the Constituent Assembly.
The exhibition is open during the following hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
