The mountain, which at a quick glance might seem static, is actually in continuous evolution due to both natural causes and causes somehow attributable to humans. This theme is the focus of the series of evenings titled "The Transformed Mountain".
Mountains in Balance – Exploring the Mountains in the Era of Climate Change is the title of the first evening, scheduled for Thursday, November 20 (8:30 PM at the parish hall of Cavarzano, free admission). Jacopo Gabrieli, a researcher at the CNR Polar Sciences Center, will discuss the effects of climate change on mountains, also examining some precautions for safe engagement with the mountain environment.
This meeting opens a series of three events, organized by the TAM and Cultural Nature Commissions. The upcoming dates, all starting at 8:30 PM at the parish hall of Cavarzano, are as follows:
- Thursday, November 27: Climate Crisis: Effects on Spontaneous Flora and Horticultural Crops (speaker: Cesare Lasen)
- Thursday, December 4: Geology Meets Architecture – Dialogue between Fausto Tormen and Danilo Giordano
All events are free admission.
