The exhibition, which will be visible at the Palazzo delle Contesse in Mel Borgo Valbelluna (BL), from October 24, 2025, to January 6, 2026, consists of an original display of the graphic arts of GUSTAV KLIMT.
Several collotypes from Gustav Klimt's early artistic period will be on display. Little-known works prior to the artist's secessionist revolution. Issues of the magazine “Das Werk,” the only monograph conceived, created, organized, and managed until its conclusion by Gustav Klimt. The “Erotic Drawings,” also in collotype, published in 1919, the year following the artist's death.
In 1898, Gustav Klimt, along with his colleagues and Viennese friends, created a popular magazine for Secessionist art called “VerSacrum,” which hosted many European avant-garde artists during its six years of publication. In fact, these issues have become true works of art sought after by scholars and collectors. Some specific issues will be present in original form at the exhibition.
This exhibition, unique in Italy but also requested from abroad (including Vienna), consists solely of original works in collotype, a graphic technique that is currently impractical due to technical, color, and cost issues. All exhibited works, in original form, are part of a private collection.
Inauguration on Friday, October 24.
