On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Equal Opportunities Commission in collaboration with the Anti-Violence Center of Vittorio Veneto organizes the "Walking Together".
On Sunday, March 8th, starting at 9:30 am, men and women, boys and girls will walk together, side by side, to celebrate the important achievements made by women in political, economic, social, and working fields and to draw attention to the numerous situations of violence and discrimination that many women face daily in various parts of the world.
The route, of about two kilometers, will start from Piazza del Popolo and will mainly take place on pedestrian areas, sidewalks, and bike/pedestrian paths, ensuring maximum safety. The event will be interspersed with short collective activities, and the arrival is expected at 12:00 pm at Parco Fenderl, where there will be a picnic with packed lunch.
