ITALY: A NATION WITHOUT BORDERS The Long Journey of the Ideas of “Nation” – Young Italy and Guelf Italy, Liberal Monarchy and Fascist Empire.
Curated by ISBREC Belluno, with the participation of Mario Isnenghi.
On June 1, 1965, twelve former partisans founded the Historical Institute of the Resistance of Belluno. To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Isbrec is organizing a series of five meetings that will carry us through December. The review, entitled "Italy: A Nation Without Borders," will help us reflect on the idea of nation, how this concept has evolved from the late 19th century to fascism, and will allow us to question this concept in relation to republican Italy and some significant turning points in our history, from the partisan struggle to the transition between the First and Second Republic, up to the theme of borders and their permeability. We thank the friends who have made themselves available to celebrate Isbrec.
