In the 49th Stage of the Journey of the Olympic Flame for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Games, Sunday, January 25, the final destination will be the city of Belluno.
Starting in the morning, the Torch's itinerary will depart from Pordenone at 09:15, continuing towards Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto and Valdobbiadene by 15:30. At 16:30, it will enter the Province of Belluno starting from Feltre, subsequently Trichiana at 18:15, and will conclude the stage in Piazza dei Martiri in Belluno at 19:30, where a great celebration will await from 17:00.
The torchbearers will arrive from Via Feltre, tackle the roundabout at Piazzale Marconi, Via Caffi, then Via Tasso up to the traffic light at the courthouse. From there they will proceed towards the back of the Città di Bologna park, Via Gabelli, before returning to the center via Via Simon da Cusighe. Then Porta Dojona, Piazza Mazzini, Via San Pietro, the old part of the city, Via Sant’Andrea, Piazza Duomo with arrival in Piazza dei Martiri where the brazier will be lit.
The itinerary, which began in Greece on Thursday December 4, 2025, and arrived in Rome two days later, will conclude on February 6, 2026 at the San Siro Olympic Stadium in Milan, the day of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics, after touching all 110 Italian provinces, in a long and exciting journey involving a large group of 10,001 torchbearers, including Olympic and Paralympic athletes, as well as famous faces from the entertainment world.
A symbol of peace, competition, but also of hope, the flame of the Olympic Torch, coming to life, renews the bond between cultures, generations, and shared ideals, reminding the world with a ritual gesture of the power of sport as a universal bridge to unite peoples, today just as in Ancient Greece.
