“The Three Musketeers: Last Act” is a reimagining of Dumas' trilogy, focusing primarily on the themes of “The Vicomte of Bragelonne”, in a decidedly innovative way. While in the last novel featuring the musketeers, the story tells of Louis XIV's twin brother, Philippe, who is imprisoned and forced to wear an iron mask, and is then trained to replace his brother, in our story, a girl, Marie, an extraordinarily similar peasant, will take Louis's place.
At the same time, a young girl from Gascony, Charlotte, does everything to join the musketeers, an impossible task and one considered ridiculous and offensive by the men. It will be Athos and Porthos who will teach the introverted peasant girl Marie to speak, move, and think like a sexist and womanizing king...
