One of the most anticipated events in the national trail scene returns: the Gran Raid delle Prealpi Trevigiane celebrates its 14th edition on Saturday, May 16, offering four different distances designed to satisfy athletes of all levels: GR80, GR60, GR40, and GR20.
The queen race, the GR80, takes place on a course of about 80 km with 4,750 meters of positive elevation gain. The start is scheduled in Segusino, while the finish will be in Revine Lago, after completely crossing the ridge of the Prealpi Trevigiane from southwest to northeast.
Next to the main distance, the GR60 features a course of about 60 km and 3,500 meters of positive elevation gain. The route follows that of the queen race up to the 50th kilometer, then heads towards the finish.
The GR40, with its approximately 40 km and 2,500 meters of positive elevation gain, takes place on a loop course starting and finishing in Revine Lago. After an initial independent section, the route joins that of the longer distances, sharing the final stretch with the GR80.
Completing the program is the GR20, a race of about 22 km with 1,250 meters of positive elevation gain. Again, this route is a loop from Revine Lago: after an initial stretch common with the GR40, athletes reach the ridge and then continue along the GR60 course until the finish.
It is also worth noting the passage of the GR40 and GR60 races in the area of Nevegal, between Forcella Zoppei, Malga Col Toront, and Rifugio Bristot, scheduled to start from 10:30 a.m.: a strategic point that will offer the public the opportunity to witness the athletes' passage live, immersed in a natural setting of great charm.
