On Friday, May 29, the Giro d'Italia passes through Valbelluna! The 19th Stage promises pure entertainment with the Feltre–Piani di Pezzè: 151 grueling kilometers and almost 5000 meters of elevation gain, entirely in the province of Belluno, destined to leave a deep mark on the final standings.
The departure will be from the historic Feltre. The group will move towards the Agordino, crossing San Zenon, Sospirolo, the Valle del Mis, and Ponte Mas, before taking the 203 Agordina towards Agordo, amidst spectacular scenery and a crowd ready to turn every climb into a corridor of passion.
Then it will be time for the most authentic Dolomites. The Passo Duran, the Passo Staulanza, the Passo Giau, and the Passo Falzarego will follow in sequence. Four Dolomite passes that promise selection, attacks, and possible overturns in the battle for the pink jersey.
The arrival, spectacular and unprecedented, will be at the Piani di Pezzè above Alleghe, a natural balcony over the Dolomites that returns as a protagonist in the great pink race. A stage that has already entered into legend thanks to the feat of Marco Pantani at the Giro d'Italia Dilettanti in 1992 and is now ready to write a new chapter in the history of cycling.
