ComUnico is the opportunity to live the sixty-five events proposed over eight weekends from September to October and discover the territory of the Alta Marca Trevigiana.
On the occasion of ComUnico, XXII° Urban Trekking Day. This year's theme will be “The Jubilee Paths between history, culture, and spirituality”
On October 31, we await you for the guided tour "CENEDA: LAND OF BISHOPS - HISTORY AND DEVOTION BETWEEN PAST AND PRESENT"
Since ancient times, Ceneda has been an important episcopal seat; starting from the city center, one passes through the village of Salsa and visits the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, which houses various works, including an intriguing 19th-century painting; one reaches San Martino Castle, where visitors will see the Hall of coats of arms, a symbol of the temporal power of the bishop-counts who lived and governed the Ceneda area and still today serves as an episcopal residence.
From here, one descends towards Piazza Giovanni Paolo I, where they will enter the Cathedral of Ceneda, which holds the remains of Saint Tiziano and numerous precious works of art that tell many stories of spirituality.
Overlooking the square is the Bishop's Seminary, the Community Loggia with important Renaissance frescoes, and a sculpture by Albino Luciani, in memory of his significant presence in the city as the bishop of the Ceneda diocese.
One returns to the city center, passing through the ghetto that still preserves historic buildings, including the birthplace of Lorenzo Da Ponte, Mozart's librettist.
