Drawn from the gothic masterpiece by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein, the show – produced by Ercole Palmieri – aims to consecrate Cison di Valmarino, Montegrotto Terme, and San Donà di Piave as suggestive theatrical settings, animating them through dramatic and visual paths that, thanks to the multivisions of Francesco Lopergolo, make the performance unique. Bringing body, voice, and torment to the characters are important personalities of Italian theater: Jane Alexander, Giorgio Borghetti, Debora Caprioglio, Giorgio Lupano, Giorgio Marchesi, Ivana Monti, Caterina Murino, Romina Mondello, Diego Dalla Palma, Primo Reggiani, Sebastiano Somma, Alessio Vassallo.
In this performance, the rarefied and unsettling atmospheres of the novel blend with the suggestion of the places in Cison di Valmarino, Montegrotto Terme, and San Donà di Piave, transforming them into the ideal stage to narrate a story that questions the human soul: the ambitious challenge of Victor Frankenstein against the laws of nature and the dramatic awakening of his Creature will gain strength and life, between science and solitude, in the urban and natural spaces that host this edition.
One of the main objectives of this project is to reveal new perspectives and different viewpoints to fresh eyes, but also to those who have always inhabited those places, celebrating, through Theater, the mystery of creation and the extraordinary landscape beauty of Veneto.
