On July 11 and 12, in the picturesque setting of Nevegal, the II Festa di San Giovanni Gualberto, patron saint of foresters, returns, an event dedicated to nature, tradition, spirituality, and the enhancement of the alpine forest heritage.
For two days, the community and visitors will experience moments of meeting, culture, and sharing immersed in the green heart of the Belluno mountains, celebrating the deep bond between man, forest, and territory.
Among the main events of the festival, on Sunday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m., the Pedonata San Gualberto will take place, a non-competitive walk of 7.5 km starting from the Church of San Gualberto and arriving at the Nevegal square. The initiative is open to everyone and provides gadgets for participants and awards for the top male and female finishers, children, and the largest groups.
On Saturday, July 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Belluno sculptor Gino Lo Bartolo will be the protagonist of the live performance The Soul of the Forest, during which he will create a new wooden sculpture in just three hours at the Church of San Gualberto.
