3rd INDUSTRIES FESTIVAL 2026
“The Geographies of Value: the Meschio between Businesses and Transforming Territories"
PROJECT PRESENTATION
The Zheneda Association, under the patronage of Confindustria Veneto Est, and the municipalities of Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto, as part of the third edition of the Industries Festival, proposes a conference dedicated to the relationship between business, territory, and development, with the aim of continuing the cultural path initiated in previous editions of the event.
After dedicating the first edition to the history of the industry of Vittorio Veneto and the second to the dialogue between businesses, territory, and UNESCO heritage, the Industries Festival 2026 aims to deepen another foundational element of local economic identity: the resources that made the birth and development of the productive system possible and which can still represent an opportunity for the future.
The initiative proposes a reflection on the relationship between natural resources, industrial heritage, urban regeneration, and sustainable development, identifying the Meschio river as the common thread of a narrative that traverses the history of the city up to the growth prospects of the coming decades.
This is not a conference dedicated to the river as such, but a broader reading of the relationship between environment and business.
The Meschio indeed represents one of the elements that have most contributed to the construction of the productive identity of Vittorio Veneto.
Its waters have favored the settlement of mills, paper mills, silk factories, manufactures, and industries, accompanying the economic growth of the city over the centuries.
Today that same heritage can continue to generate value through the regeneration of industrial heritage, the enhancement of the landscape, sustainable mobility, the protection of environmental resources, and new development models capable of integrating economy, quality of life, and territorial attractiveness.
The third edition of the Industries Festival therefore aims to tell how a territory can continue to produce value when businesses, institutions, designers, and communities share a common vision of their future.
