On Saturday, October 5, the theatrical show "Eva, Diary of a Rib" will take place as part of the XVI Edition of the 5Vie theater festival, at the Teatro San Gaetano in Castion.
“Then the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept. And He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. With the rib that He took from the man, God made a woman. Then He commanded: you may eat from any tree in the garden, but you must never eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” How the story continues, we know. Eve feeds on the forbidden fruit of knowledge, thus renouncing Paradise.
Why did she do it? This show is a tribute to female disobedience. Eve is an absolute voice, reflecting and asking questions day after day. She is a voice that names in order to know. She is a voice that hangs in the void, that waits. She is a voice that is never satisfied. She questions the fate of the women who will come after her. It is a delicate, ruthless, comedic, and authentic monologue accompanied by the notes of violinist Marta Pistocchi, enveloping it in a sound cloud. And then there are countless apples. The choice is up to the audience...
With: Rita Pelusio and Marta Pistocchi (violin) - Direction: Marco Rampoldi - Production: PEM Habitat Teatrali
