On Saturday, January 17 at 09:30, at Palazzo Crepadona, there will be a popular scientific meeting titled "Dolomites: geology to discover and tell".
The Dolomites hold a unique geological heritage in the world. Knowing and telling it is an exciting challenge, a journey in which geologists can accompany us, teaching us to read the traces of our planet's past in the landscape and helping us to imagine a possible future. In this meeting, designed in dialogue with the exhibition Dolomites: on the path in the geology of wonder, we will delve into the geological complexity of these mountains to reveal the secret of their charm.
Speakers will include Mara Nemela, UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, Nereo Preto, University of Padua, Department of Geosciences, Alberto Riva, University of Ferrara, Department of Physics and Earth Sciences, Vittorio Fenti, freelance geologist, teacher of geology, mineralogy, and geophysics ITIM Agordo, Franco Fiamoi geologist and member of the Functional Network of the Geological Heritage of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, Sonia Anelli, Belluno Dolomites National Park.
