In May, the 2nd edition of the “Course on the Knowledge of Belluno and Province” organized by the Campedel Association will take place. An initiative to discover the entire Belluno territory, starting from its history and art, to make citizens more aware and proud of the great wealth surrounding us and to support those who have registered for the national tourist guide exam.
All meetings will be held in Sala Bianchi in Belluno during four Thursdays in May at 5:45 p.m.:
- It begins on May 7 with researcher Jacopo De Pasquale, who will illustrate the historical figure of Ezzelino III Da Romano “the best man that ever was if he had not been so diverse” through literary and biographical narration about this character: a bloody tyrant or a skilled political strategist?
- The meeting continues on Thursday, May 14 with archaeologist Chiara De Biasio, who will analyze the role of women in pre-Roman Veneto;
- On May 21, Giovanni Grazioli will discuss the provincial asylum in Feltre (1775-1978) between madness, social control, and enterprise;
- The cycle of meetings will conclude on May 28 with Marta Azzalini, who will present "Disappeared Belluno: the transformation of the city over the centuries"
