The publishing house Diastema (Diastema Studies and Research Association) in Treviso organizes the fifth edition of the literary competition named after the librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte, born in Ceneda, court poet of Emperor Joseph II of Austria and the first professor of Italian literature in the history of Columbia College. The only award dedicated to musical narrative in Italy, the competition aims to promote and enhance narrative texts that have unmistakable references and connections to music. The competition was established in 2016, has a biennial deadline, and awards unpublished narratives that make music their fil rouge. Participation is free, and the first prize is the printed publication of the work.
In Vittorio Veneto, at the Civic Hall of the Museum of the Battle, the awards ceremony for the competition will take place for the section reserved for stories (under 30).
Free entry.
