The theatrical group I Comelianti presents its new play titled “Innocents, but not too much.”
Event organized by Pro Loco Monti del Sole in collaboration with I Comelianti APS.
In a meadow, the corpse of a certain man, the unloved husband of a beautiful lady, is discovered. Perhaps he was accidentally killed by an elderly man, maybe a prudish spinster, perhaps the wife...
The protagonists of this sort of hilarious "Cluedo," engaged with a body to make disappear and... reappear, bring to life a series of comedic events and grotesque situations: how will they come out of it? Perhaps guilty.
Or maybe innocent... But not too much...
Loosely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's film "The Innocent Conspiracy," the play captures the atmosphere of the 1950s of a small town in rural America, with all its picturesque human cases.
With this particular piece, referencing one of the most unique works of the master of thrills, I Comelianti offers a fast-paced comedy with an essential staging.
The space is defined by the relationships between the characters, and the scenery supports the web woven by the protagonists.
The text, ironic and subtle, entertains but also, in a certain sense, makes one reflect: in the delightful kermess of relationships, complicity, alliances, and subterfuge, it clearly emerges how tenuous the truth is.
And we hope, in the investigation searching for the culprits, to elicit a few smiles from you... strictly noir!
