On Sunday, January 11 at 9:00 PM, at the Dino Buzzati Municipal Theatre, there will be a meeting in remembrance of Lorenzo Massarotto "Dear Mass. A possible reunion for mountaineering “by fair means.”
Friends and companions of Lorenzo Massarotto gather to recount his extraordinary mountaineering twenty years after his death. From an idea by Paola Favero and Mauro Moretto, it is led by Alberto Peruffo with the participation of climbers from various parts of the Alps and the Dolomites.
Lorenzo Massarotto was one of the greatest climbers of the Dolomites, a formidable mountaineer, reserved, invisible except to his companions and his rare public appearances. He left more than 120 new routes in the Dolomites, with solo and winter climbs that have become legendary, such as the first solo repeat of the mythic Diedro Casarotto-Radin on the Pale di San Lucano.
