As part of the regional policies for enhancing and promoting sustainable tourism, the 18-19 April 2026 sees the Day of River Tourism take place in Veneto, an initiative aimed at promoting river tourism as a form of integrated, slow, and environmentally friendly tourist offering.The Day of River Tourism particularly aims to:

encourage sustainable and intermodal mobility;

support the de-seasonalization of tourist flows;

enhance historic river towns and protected natural areas;

promote the knowledge and protection of river and lagoon ecosystems.
