The historic event "Thursday in the Square" of the Belluno Centro Storico Consortium returns to liven up Belluno in the month of July!
Four events to gather in the city center, transformed for the occasion into a space for meeting, culture, music, art, and sharing, with shops open from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
It starts on Saturday, July 4 with the beginning of the summer sales: the right moment to return to the streets and squares, discover new shop windows, and take a tour among the city's shops.
THURSDAY, JULY 9: CINEMA IN THE SQUARE
An evening dedicated to cinema and the promotion of local audiovisual productions, aiming to transform the historic center into a widespread path of screenings and moments of meeting between the public, authors, and industry professionals.
The program includes the screening of short films made by local directors and filmmakers, offering space and visibility to both young talents and already established authors. The initiative is held in collaboration with Primevolte, the film festival of Feltre, committed to enhancing contemporary cinema and productions related to the territory.
During the evening, an exclusive preview of a short film by director Francesco Sossai will be presented.
Screenings will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., in three different locations set up in the city center:
- Location 1: Piazza Fenice
- Location 2: Porta Dante
- Location 3: Galleria under the Guardia di Finanza
THURSDAY, JULY 16: VISIONS OF ART
An evening dedicated to visual arts, contemporary creativity, and community involvement, conceived as a widespread exhibition path that will enliven several places in the historic center.
The initiative will be curated by mikoriza.art, with the artistic direction and coordination of Ilaria D'Alessio, in collaboration with Caterina Miari Fulcis.
The path will consist of three exhibition spaces:
- Former Teatro Minerva
- Via Tasso 7
- Piazzetta Bembo
Enriching the evening will be musical proposals and multidisciplinary artistic interventions designed to create a dialogue between different expressive languages. Among the protagonists of the event is the musical project unPluriverso, which will accompany the exhibition path with performances and artistic contaminations, promoting the meeting between music, visual arts, and contemporary experimentation.
THURSDAY, JULY 23: WINES AND VINYLS
An evening that celebrates the meeting between food and wine culture and music, focusing on the wine-making excellence of the territory and the charm of listening to vinyl. The initiative proposes a widespread path in the historic center that will involve local producers, DJs, and commercial activities, creating an experience capable of combining tasting, conviviality, and musical research.
In each of the involved squares, there will be two wine producers from the territory and a DJ set entirely in vinyl:
- Piazzetta San Lucano – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl.
- Piazza Santo Stefano – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl.
- Piazza Piloni – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl.
- Piazza Chemello – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl.
The event intends to enhance the local wine heritage through a format that facilitates the meeting between producers and the public, accompanying the tastings with a curated music selection and an engaging atmosphere.
THURSDAY, JULY 30: MERCHANTS IN THE SQUARE
The merchants of the historic center will be the protagonists of a shared installation in Piazza dei Martiri, created through a collective collaboration that will enhance the activities of the territory.
Fabrics, decorative elements, installations, and light games will help transform the square into a scenographic space inspired by gypsy aesthetics, creating a suggestive and engaging environment. The intervention is designed to offer visitors an immersive experience, making Piazza dei Martiri the focal point of the event and a meeting place capable of combining creativity, participation, and the enhancement of the city’s commercial fabric.
