Asteroide

Asteroide

On Thursday, February 11, at 9:00 p.m., the show "Asteroid" will take place at the Teatro Comunale Dino Buzzati.

Great catastrophes rarely give warning.

What do the extinction of the dinosaurs and the end of a love have in common? In both cases, it is hard to believe that something destined to last can suddenly disappear.

A mysterious paleontologist takes the stage to talk about bones, geological eras, iridium, and cosmic catastrophes. But something starts to crack: sentimental memories surface during the conference, the body begins to move, and words turn into song. Little by little, the musical invades the stage.

Ubu Award 2025 for Best Dance Show, Asteroid is a surprising face-off with Broadway in which Marco D’Agostin brings together science and love, dissemination and performance, dance and theater. Among dinosaurs, betrayals, and apocalypses, it ironically and dizzyingly tells our most extraordinary ability: to survive our extinctions, to reconstruct ourselves layer by layer, and to discover that after every end, life always manages to invent a new form.
