Ana Carla Maza, the new voice of Cuba, will be at the Teatro Dino Buzzati in Belluno, on March 26 (9 PM), a Veneto Jazz signed stop of the international tour Alamar, from the eponymous new album, which will reach Latin America, the United States, and Asia until 2029.
Singer and cellist, with more than 400 concerts across 25 countries, brings to audiences worldwide a new, powerful, and authentic Cuban sound. With Alamar, Ana Carla Maza represents the memory, excellence, and absolute joy of living of the new voice of Cuba, aiming to take it to the most important stages in the world. A brilliant and deeply personal album, that combines virtuosity, energy, and maturity to reinterpret Cuban musical tradition and open it up to the world.
A journey between the two Americas, her music moves with the cello and voice as guides. Ana Carla explores the rhythm of the continent: bolero, son cubano, guajira, bachata, tango, merengue, cumbia, afrobeat, bossa nova, salsa, funk, and danzón. In Alamar, she weaves together the echo of Violeta Parra with the strength of Cuban masters Beny Moré, Bola de Nieve, Celina González, Omara Portuondo to create a musical language that is at once contemporary and universal.
