"Goodbye, Novecento"
It was in 1994 when Alessandro Baricco wrote “Novecento,” a concentration of theater, music, and poetry that became one of the most translated and interpreted stories in the world. Baricco did not create that masterpiece for anyone to interpret, but he wrote that show for an actor, Eugenio Allegri, who passed away prematurely on May 6, 2022, one of the most important performers of commedia dell'arte in the last forty years.
The show intertwines the story of Novecento, the pianist on the ocean, with that of his most important interpreter.
