34th Città di Vittorio Veneto Prize - European Violin Competition, inaugural music event.
Inaugural music event at the Civic Hall of the Battle Museum of Vittorio Veneto, featuring Vikram Francesco Sedona and Eva Ter-Sarkisova, the two winners of the previous European editions (2021 and 2023).
From August 23 to 29, 2026, Vittorio Veneto will host the 34th edition of the International Violin Competition "Città di Vittorio Veneto" at the "Lorenzo Da Ponte" Municipal Theatre, an event that has established itself over the years as the most important international violin competition reserved for young performers from the European Union.
For the third consecutive year, the artistic direction of the Competition is entrusted to violinist Francesco De Angelis, Konzertmeister of the Teatro alla Scala and the Filarmonica della Scala. Mr. De Angelis will also be a member of the jury, composed of personalities of absolute prestige in the international music scene:
- Fabio Vacchi, Jury President, among the leading contemporary Italian composers;
- Livia Sellin, violinist and professor at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität of Vienna;
- Roland Daugareil, violinist and professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris;
- Ernesto Schiavi, violinist and Artistic Director of the Rai National Symphony Orchestra;
- Pavel Vernikov, violinist and professor at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität of Vienna and at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne, as well as Artistic Director of the Sion Festival"
