The fountain tour is a naturalistic walk, immersed in the pre-Alpine landscape of the Alanese basin, which is also known as the Basin of the Gold Medals for Military Valor.
It is a route that leads to the rediscovery of the old water sources that in the past influenced the daily and social life of the village: the fountains. These were one of the social meeting points of the past, as families gathered during the ritual of fetching the water necessary for daily life. They were also the place for washing clothes, called in dialect lissia, and a play area for the little ones.
Here you will discover the importance of water, which is the symbol of life, having been cherished in the past as a precious jewel and a communal good. Of particular note is the Fontana de la Calonega as it is an old washing place that remains intact to this day.
With a small detour, you can also admire the little church of San Lorenzo, which is located atop a hill immersed in the woods in a truly suggestive landscape.
