Feltre-Alleghe 19a tappa: Giro d'Italia

19th stage of the Giro d'Italia 2026
Feltre-Alleghe, Piani di Pezzè

The climb to Piani di Pezzè begins in the center of the town of Alleghe, measuring 4.8 km with an overall elevation gain of 472m and featuring gradients over 18%.

The most challenging points are represented by "Riva de Col de Mies," a wall of 500m located halfway up with gradients of 20%, and "Riva de Coi," the final steep section of approximately 550m leading to the finish line at the Piani. The start of the climb is immediately vertical before tackling some hairpin turns always on sustained slopes. Upon reaching the fourth hairpin turn, one of the most challenging sections begins: "La Riva de Coldemies," a vertical ascent of about 500 meters that surpasses the eponymous hamlet with gradients over 18%, interrupted by two hairpin turns that lead into the only brief breathable section of the ascent.
The climb continues on more manageable gradients until 500 meters from the finish line, where the second wall lies in wait: 500 linear meters with gradients up to 20% on this stretch of ascent called "La Riva de Coi." This second wall leads directly to the finish line at Piani di Pezzè, where the view opens up to this magnificent green plain in summer and a white skiing paradise during the winter season.
