Carpenè Malvolti was founded in 1868 by Antonio Carpenè, who desired to make sparkling wines and distil wines with grapes harvested on the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. In 1876, the first Italian Enological School was founded by Antonio Carpenè, that is based in Conegliano. Carpenè Malvolti was the first winery in Italy to produce Prosecco as a sparkling wine, to perfect the sparkling method (Charmat method) and to create, already in 1924, the first label with the name "Prosecco Amabile dei Colli di Conegliano" - thus associating the name of the wine with that of the vine and its Territory of origin.
The winery organizes guided tours and tastings by reservation (a few days before by e-mail) and activities on request.
