The building was built around the seventeenth century and now presents itself with the transformations and expansion carried out in the last century by the c.te Rizzolino degli Azzoni Avogadro.
The villa was erected on the ruins of an ancient castle formed by three towers placed in a triangle and joined with a large wall of battlements. Within the first walls there were two streets with strong shelters that led to the right and left leading to the top of the hill where the keep of the castle stood.
For this reason the tower was called the crossroads from which the name of Bivai came.
