Villa Altan, located in Gaiarine, is recently restored and currently houses the Municipal Library. The property was purchased by the Counts Altan, originally from San Vito al Tagliamento, from the Porcia family in 1426, transforming it into a summer residence. Surveys on the walls suggest a previous sixteenth-century building, upon which the current structure, presumably from the eighteenth century, is superimposed.
On the ground floor, the two arches testify to the building's originally rural function, opening onto the kitchen and service rooms. The noble floor is organized around a central hall, with rooms overlooking it, and is characterized by the elegant double window on the facade. The top floor, once a granary and now a conference room, features two large arches and a window with a side balcony.
