The Water Way is a route that follows the course of the Veses stream, starting from the Piave.
A path to better understand the fundamental importance of water: an essential element for life, a factor for economic development, a force that shapes the landscape.
Along the route, you can observe the traces left by the flow of water (from the glaciations to the present day), and the structures created by humans to harness hydraulic energy. The Water Way is a picturesque path that winds through fields, woods, trails, and walkways, following the flow of the Veses River.
The itinerary starts from the ancient mill of Santa Libera in Salzan and then crosses enchanting woods until reaching the hydroelectric plant and the Altanon hostel, at the foot of Mount Pizzocco.
A segment is also included in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and starts from the Altanon hostel to delve into the wild Val Scura, at the foot of Mount Pizzocco, connecting with the Chiesette pedemontane itinerary.
